White House officials are holding off approving the second round of Market Facilitation Payments "amid optimism China will soon resume buying U.S. soybeans," Reuters reported on Tuesday.

The Senate jumped ahead of the House on Tuesday and gave final approval to the 2018 farm bill with an 87-13 vote. A hearing on the bill before the House Rules Committee on Tuesday afternoon was delayed, which could push the final House vote back a day.
March corn was up 1/4 cent, January soybeans were down 1 1/4 cents, and March KC wheat was up 5 cents.
Expect lean hog futures to start out moderately lower, checked by board premiums and softening carcass value. The cattle complex should open on a mixed basis as traders position ahead of cash potential.
