Who we are and what we do:

SIRE is a state-of-the art dry-mill grain processing facility that will produce nameplate capacity of 110 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol per year. In the initial years of production, it will also produce over 300,000 tons of Dried Distillers' Grain (DDGs) and approximately 43,000 tons of Wet Distillers Grains (WDGs) annually. The facility is anticipated to consume approximately 39 million bushels of corn feedstock annually, originating grain from a large portion of Southwest Iowa and several counties of Southeast Nebraska.

SIRE is a Limited Liability Company incorporated in the State of Iowa on March 8, 2005. The owners of SIRE would like for the Company to be a locally controlled business enterprise so that farmers and local investors will have the chance to extract added value through ownership of a processing function that can convert corn to a higher value product.

SIRE originated from a crop producer organization known as Iowa Quality Producers Alliance (IQPA). In 2005, a subset of IQPA leaders and other producer leaders founded SIRE. In September of 2005, after an initial feasibility study, the Company's 19 founders made a decision to pursue acquisition of an industrial park south of Council Bluffs. Later, an additional 45 seed investors were welcomed to procure equity to support project development costs.

Coming from the East or West on I-80
Exit at Exit 1B, the 24th Street Exit.
Go South on 24th Street approx. 1 mile to the South Omaha Bridge Road (this is a major intersection with lights).
Continue south on 24th, and turn left on to 42nd Ave, the first left turn (less than 1/2 a block).
The SIRE office is in the building on the right (south) side of 42nd Ave.

Coming from the South on I-29
Exit on the Manawa/Hwy 92, #42 exit.
At the top of the exit turn left (west).
Continue on Hwy 92/ South Omaha Bridge Road approximately 3 miles to the 24th Street intersection (stoplights).
Turn left (south), and turn left on to 42nd Ave, the first left turn (less than 1/2 a block).
The SIRE office is in the building on the right (south) side of 42nd Ave.

Coming from the North on I-29
I-29 merges with Interstate 80 on the western edge of Council Bluffs.
Follow I-29 to the 24th Street exit, Exit 1B.
Go South on 24th Street approx. 2 miles to the South Omaha Bridge Road (this is a major intersection with lights).
Continue south on 24th, and turn left on to 42nd Ave, the first left turn (less than 1/2 a block).
